The first 30 to 60 minutes after you wake up are the most valuable moments of your day and have a profound effect on the quality of every minute that follows.

If you have the wisdom and self-discipline to ensure that during this key period you take the time to connect to the power of the universe, then you will notice that your days will consistently unfold in the most marvellous ways.

Here are some ideas to ensure that your day gets off to a joyful and peace-filled start.

  • Read from an inspirational book. Find some books that contain the timeless princples of successful living that are so easy to forget in the fast-paced world we live in. If you don’t have any suitable books at the moment, here are some suggestions:’The Success Principles’ – Jack Canfield’The Power of Intention’ – Wayne Dyer’Ask and It  Is Given’ – Esther and Jerry Hicks
  • Perform gentle exercise. It is important to get your body ready for the day ahead by engaging in some gentle exercise such as T’ai Chi, Yoga or Chi Gung. If you don’t know how to do these, then buy a book or find a course. ( T’ai Chi is difficult to learn from a book – you will need to go on a course to learn it). Performing exercise also helps to connect your mind and body together so that you will feel more integrated and centred during your day.
  • Meditate. Meditation is a technique designed to train your mind to function the way it was designed to. The peace and tranquility you’ll feel after your morning meditation session will infuse every remaining minute of your day. You will be more patient in your relationships, more serene at the office and more happy when you’re alone.
You can learn to meditate easily using a meditation machine – see www.Meditations-UK.com
  • Review your goals. Spend some time thinking about your goals. If you’ve written down your goals (and you should have ! ) read over them. Visualise your goals in your mind and imagine that you’ve already achieved them. Think positively about what you intend to do during the day and how it will help to bring your goals nearer to you.

Create a morning ritual that includes these ideas and you will soon start to feel and see great improvements in your life.
